What are the System requirements?

The ETEOboard plugin works with Atlassian JIRA version 7.4 or higher.

The ETEOboard plugin is optimized for Google Chrome browser. Other supported web browsers are Microsoft Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari (macOS).

The application works on PCs with mouse or touch screen. Mobil devices (either phones or tablets) are not supported.

How can I setup the board ?

The ETEOboard plugin works along with JIRA's board configuration, i.e. the eteoBoard always shows the same board layout as JIRA's own agile board.

The plugin only supports Scrum boards. When the selected board is not a Scrum board or there is no board defined for the project the eteoBoard shows an error message.

For Scrum projects a scrum board is created by default. In order to use eteoBoard in non-scrum projects a Scrum board needs to be created.

To create a Scrum board click the Create board menu item within the Project sidebar.

Select the "Create a Scrum board" option within the "Create an Agile board" window.

To change the layout of the eteoBoard open the project/board and click on Board > Configuration in the top right corner.

Under General settings you can configure which issues are shown on the board. You can choose one or more projects and add custom filtering.

Under Column management you can add/remove columns to the board and configure which issue statuses to show in which column. The eteoBoard always shows the exact same column/status layout as JIRA's own agile board.

The eteoBoard is designed to work with story based swimlanes. If the swimlanes are based on Epcis, Projects, etc. the eteoBoard will show an error message. In order to work with eteoBoard "Stories" have to be selected under Swimlanes > Base Swimlanes.

The eteoBoard has it's own colour and issue layout so the "Card colours" and "Card layout" configuration of JIRA are not not applicable for eteoBoard.

What is the active sprint?

The eteoBoard shows the content of the active sprint. If there is no active sprint the eteoBoard shows an error message.

In order to use the plugin create a sprint on the top of your backlog and start that sprint.

How to install the plugin?

This installation manual describes the installation steps of the ETEOboard Jira plugin.

The plugin works with Jira software version 7.4 or higher.

Click on the "Upload add-on" button.

In the "Upload-add on" window browse the ETEOboard jar file from the hard drive and click on the "Upload" button.

The "Installed and ready to go!" window is displayed upon the successful installation of the plugin.

Find the ETEOBoard plugin within the list of "User-installed add-ons" to ensure the plugin is installed and enabled.

The ETEOboard plugin is installed and ready to use. The ETEOboard icon is available on the Project sidebar.
